This year’s Christmas program will feature a performance of Ottorino Respighi’s Lauda per la Natività del Signore (Laud to the Nativity) for choir, soloists, woodwind sextet, piano four-hands and percussion.  With her characteristic inspiration, maestra Elena Vizuet, teaming up with stage director Angelina Reaux, has chosen to mount Respighi’s little-performed cantata as an opera presepe vivente or living nativity scene work.

 The evening will be rounded out with choral works by Grieg, Liszt, Mendelsohn and Rachmaninov, celebrating the Virgin Mary and the birth of Christ.  Performances will be December 13 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral and December 18 at Christ Church, Coronado.
